Application for BImSchG approval for the wind farm projects in Weener, Neuss and Gemünden

ENOVA is planning nationwide projects in the field of onshore wind energy. For the current projects in Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, ENOVA brings in its many years of experience as a service provider.
ENOVA was commissioned by Klingel Papierwerk GmbH & Co. KG in Weener with the design and approval planning for the repowering of an existing 1MW wind energy plant. For this purpose, the application was submitted in August 2014 in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act. The new 3 MW ENERCON E-101 wind turbine will replace a NORDEX N52 turbine. In addition to the supply to the public grid, there is the technical possibility of direct self-consumption in the connected Klingele Papierwerk.
For Stadtwerke Neuss, ENOVA is entrusted with the realization of two wind turbines of the multi-megawatt class. For this purpose, in the summer of 2014 the BImSchG application was submitted to the competent authority, for which the draft approval has meanwhile been submitted. A final version is expected shortly. The planned plants will supply electrical energy for about 3,000 households in the region.
The BImSchG approval is also currently expected for the project in Gemünden, upon receipt of which the construction phase will begin. The wind farm, consisting of eleven Nordex N117 wind turbines, with a capacity of 26.4 megawatts, is expected to go into operation in 2015. The client is the Verbands-Energie-Werk (VEW) Gesellschaft für Erneuerbare Energien mbH, which will also operate the wind farm. In the future, about 23,000 households should receive clean electricity from wind energy.
