For the ENOVA planned repowering of a wind energy plant on the grounds of Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG in Weener, East Frisia, this week the approval according to Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) was granted.
Since the end of 2013, ENOVA has been planning and implementing the repowering of a Nordex N52 wind turbine on the industrial site of the paper mills. With the premature building permit issued by the district of Leer it was already possible to start the preparatory work for the access road, the crane parking areas and the erection of the foundation at the end of April. The preliminary work on the foundation including the measures to improve the soil has already been completed.
On the industrial site of Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG, the old system with a hub height of 60 m and a rated output of 1000 kW will be replaced by a new, more powerful one. The E-101 from Enercon has a hub height of 135 meters and a nominal output of around 3 megawatts (MW) with a rotor diameter of 101 meters. Commissioning is planned for 2015.
Upon completion, the wind turbine will produce an annual energy yield of around 8.5 million kWh.
