Waldfeucht wind farm receives approval for six Nordex N-163
Bunderhee, 13.08.2021 Almost exactly half a year after the acquisition of the 14 Enercon E-66 in the Waldfeucht wind farm, Heinsberg district (NRW), the most important milestone of a repowering has been reached. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our local partners – the Frauenrath Group and BMR energy solutions GmbH – the BImSchG permit for the planned repowering was obtained much earlier than planned.
“With the current approval, the cooperation partners plan to commission six Nordex N-163s, each with 5.7 MW, as early as 2023. The seventh WTG of the same type is still in the approval process. After commissioning, the new wind farm will produce over 100 million kWh of electricity per year,” says Björn Burau, team leader of Investment & Asset Management. “In arithmetical terms, this corresponds to the electricity needs of around 25,000 four-person households.”
Since the beginning of the year, ENOVA Value has acquired three further wind farm projects. ENOVA’s repowering planning has already begun for these projects as well. Further wind farms with start-ups from 2000 to 2006 are in the process of being purchased.
The ENOVA group of companies, headquartered in East Frisia and with a branch office in Hamburg, has been developing, realising and managing wind farms in Germany since 1989. The range of services offered by the 50-strong family business extends from the initial project idea, including realisation, through wind farm management and service, to repowering.
All competences flow together over four business areas in one life cycle. The foundation is project development & planning (EPC), which to date can point to 250 MW of successfully realised onshore projects and 1,500 MW of approved offshore projects.
This is complemented by technical and commercial management (TCM), which currently manages around 500 MW for its own and external wind farms across Germany and has launched a data-based asset management software on the market with the product e.live.
Another important component is the technical maintenance and servicing (ISP) of ENOVA Service GmbH. As an independent service provider and specialist for Enercon wind turbines, around 190 turbines from Enercon E-40 to E-92 are currently running under contract.
Investment & Asset Management (IAM) rounds off the business areas. In the last four years, around 25 wind farms with a total capacity of around 150 MW have been successfully acquired and have since been operated and further developed to create value.
