ENOVA as a partner of industrial enterprises
An industrial site presented the planner and project engineer of wind farm with special challenges. Tight buildings, the implementation of high risk requirements and a complex sound situation on industrial sites made the realization of the project a multifaceted task, which could only be accomplished with many years of experience and expert knowledge in every field.
A first success story is the repowering project of a wind power plant on the industrial site of Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG in Weener, East Friesland.
The old system, a Nordex N52 with a hub height of 60 m and a nominal output of 1000 kW, was replaced by a new and more powerful wind turbine. The Enercon E-101 has a hub height of 135 meters and a rated output of around 3 MW. Due to the timely exchange of the wind power plant, the feed-in tariff was also ensured according to the current EEG. Commissioning took place in 2015.
The wind power plant will produce and feed in a year-end energy yield of around 8.5 million kWh. Optionally, it would also be possible to consume the generated power in the paper mill.
